MMF Analyzer

The Beta versions of FileMind currently also install
a special tool for deep metadata analysis, called
MMFAnalyzer. It can be found in the Metability
Software program group.

This video (13:37) gives an overview of its
basic functionality.

MMFAnalyzer Configuration

When MMFAnalyzer starts, it looks for specific files in its current folder:

  • MMFAnalyzer.InfoElements — specifies vRSEs.
  • MMFAnalyzer.RSEproperties — specifies Custom Properties for RSEs.
  • MMFAnalyzer.RSEalternates — specifies Controlled Vocabularies for vRSEs or RSEs.
  • ScavPI.*.config — specifies plug-in parameters. The file must have the same name as the main plug-in assembly, with the extension .config. Currently only used by XMP (ScavPI.XMP.config).

If the files with these names are present, they are automatically loaded.

Info.pngUnlike MMFAnalyzer, FileMind loads all plug-ins at the same time and uses a configuration file to pass initialization settings to the MMF at startup. The files MMFAnalyzer.* in the Scavenger folder will therefore never be used by FileMind.
However, the plug-in configuration ScavPI.XMP.config may be specified inside the FileMind MMF config file.
